It's a tough choice, but American Music Club is probably at the top of my list.

Wow, you are lucky...I was even luckier, there is this cd trading site called lala.com and a member was nice enough to get me copies of a bunch of their stuff. I still like the one I heard first the best, Trust...but I love them all. I assume you know Red House Painters, American Music Club, Friends of Dean Martiniez? They are all somewhat similar (though the last one deals more with 'sonic soundscape' type stuff and not so much on the lyrical content...they did a lot of the music for Fast Food Nation.

ha! where abouts did you live? I sat next to a hermit crab in science when I was in high school and it smelled terrible.

Hey, funny...I lived in Michigan long ago as a kid. My only memory is getting a big basket of hermit crabs, bringing them back home, accidentally having it tipped over and crabs everywhere for days.

More red hair? It's been long gone, but always dyes its way back to my roots. (I WAS born a redhead but all of that disappeared somehow). Daniel Johnston is amazing...there is definitely a link between creativity and illness.

I am debating, to be honest. Many times, it depends on whether we can afford the trip. Usually, everyone else goes to see relatives (Mona's) while I go to the con, so we can do both. The reason I do want to go this year is a big Tori Amos related project I am a part of, of which there will be a panel at the con regarding...Tori will probably be on it, and I hope to be on it too, but who knows. So many variables! But, when I know, I will let you know.

Random question: are you going to San Diego Comic-Con this year (July)? Or have you given up on the ole' SDCC~?
